A First Time
The first moments in life, the moments that give us space to rest, learn, step back, and jump again.
Sometimes we always worry about something, such as losing our job, or how long it will take us to get a job, as a result, we become overthinking, and slow in making decisions.
There's nothing wrong with trying something for the first time. After all, life is about going through the first experience. For example, the first time we were able to walk, the first time we went to school, the first time we dated, the first time we broke up, the first time we applied for a job, the first time we got a job, and the first time we resigned.
I myself after thinking like this became more calm and brave. I've always wanted to resign but I have too many thoughts. I think too much about the risks. Even though the risk is not very big, the biggest is not being able to work for 1-3 months. Anyways I have never resigned, I will try to resign.
And it turned out that it didn't take up to a month, even before I resigned, I got a new place at a company in Singapore, my salary doubled, that's how I can work full remote.
When I was looking for a job in a new place, I didn't have any technical interview experience, at the first interview I wasn't ready, so I didn't prepare the materials, and in the end, I wasn't called in. From that experience, I know how to do an interview. In the next interview, I looked different, I dressed neatly, smiled, and took the initiative like saying hello first. Yes, basically I want to show that I am energetic, and can communicate well, but not too much.
This is the same as the story of my friend, who said "I've failed the civil servant test, I'm stronger to accept anything and win the results".
How about your “first-time” story?
